Evil is amongst us

I live in one of the reddest cities in America.  I am a member of a church that has a high percentage of "red."  And yet, even in these circumstances, the most insidious of ideas finds a toehold, a foothold, and sometimes even a firm place to stand. The Enemy

Our enemies in the fight for freedom are many and one at the same time.  Ultimately all evil is akin.  But before you get to the ultimate there are many different evils, wrongs, and misunderstandings that replace the ultimate. Some of the enemies are people like those who have made the despicable movie Fall of the Republic: The Presidency of Barack H. Obama.   This is a disgusting piece of propoganda. Not to say it doesn't have some truth.  It does, but those nuggets of truth are spread few and far between.  In the me antime there is much speculation, many claims, and many conspiracies. Worst of all, they tout the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence while denouncing Corporations and Darwin alike. They also didn't provide an organized presentation of information. Of Narnia

C. S. Lewis had so many things right when he wrote The Chronicles of Narnia.  They do not bear repeating here but only acknowledgment.  He recognized true Christianity and embodied in a format compatible with all ages of almost any background. I am very pleased with Disney for being able to keep that theme alive in the two movies they have produced so far.  They are by far my favorite movies.  I don't know how many times I have seen The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe and I don't rightly imagine there is any limit to how many times I could see it. Worth reading at least yearly.  Worth watching whenever you have can.  Worth pondering.

A way out? (1)

I think I am starting to see how we might survive as a nation.  There is the slightest chance of success. I don't know what the path looks like yet, but I can feel it's there and I can see the foundation that must be used to succeed. The format I use to organize this project will change over time.  Whether a little or a lot I don't know.  The purpose and end of this will not change however. It may take me several tries to state the end how it needs to be stated, so stick with me and try to understand. The foundation is made of correct principles and values.  The path we must take is the correct application of these principles and the living of these values.  The end is a nation properly run, righteously judged, and perfectly free. The title of this post is a link to a Fox News article.  Read through it before you read my synopsis. I will have to side with the town on this one.  Such an inscription would be divisive and misunderstood by anyone who has not studied Islam with an open mind. It would be accurate and yet horrendously false to have the inscription "Muslim Terrorists" on that plaque. The terrorists were, indeed, professed Muslims, but the one scripture from the Koran that they support their actions with is actually not supportive of their stance.  They, and the media, deliberately misunderstand it to mean that Muslims are to wipe out any unbelievers, when in reality Muslims are compassionate people who have respect for Jesus Christ and, when they hear his story, even Joseph Smith.  They recognize that other people and faiths receive truths through their own prophets. Who is John Galt?

For those of you who know what I am referring to, you may find some of these following posts interesting.  For those who do not understand, read the first post (Are you Going John Galt? [update 2]). By the way, I came across all this because I was searching for a visual portrayal of Henry Rearden.  The first picture I saw was exactly what I wanted and catches the essence of that man.  It is in the first and second posts listed.  It is titled "First Heat," referring to the first pouring of Mr. Rearden's "new steel." Ousted Honduran President

This has finally irked me enough that I will make my view clear.  First the facts: President José Manuel Zelaya was arrested in a military coup on June 28, 2009.  The military entered the presidential palace, disarmed the presidential guard, and arrested Mr. Zelaya.  He was then flown to Costa Rica in a military plane. This was the culmination of tensions between Pres. Zelaya and the Congress and Supreme Court.  Mr. Zelaya was trying to get a referendum passed that would allow multiple term limits for the president.  The Supreme Court, however, declared the referendum unconstitutional and the Congress followed suit.  Zelaya kept pushing for the referendum and even ordered the military to help.  After the military refused, Zelaya fired the armed forces commander, Gen. Romeo Vásquez.  But the Supreme Court declared this act unconstitutional and reinstated Gen. Vásquez. Sunday was supposed to be the day when Zelaya pushed his referendum throug...

As far as the contributor Poemsinge r is concerned, this should set most questions at rest. Poemsinger is me, Tyler.  I connected that alias to this blog in case I ever needed a release from writing as myself.  This may not make sense but Poemsinger has a different persona in my mind. (I am not bipolar or schizophrenic, I'm just weird.)  Poemsinger will also publish any poems that I feel like sharing. Not too exciting, is it?  It's just me.

Rights and Morals

There is no right or guarantee in the Constitution or any other Founding document that can be construed to uphold any immoral practice or policy. Since all rights listed and implied are unalienable rights, and since unalienable rights are endowed by God, there is no place for the upholding of such items as gay marriage.  All our laws lie on moral and eternal laws of the universe.  Since right and wrong are mutually exclusive the latter cannot be based on the former. I know I’ve stated the same thing three times now, but there is no other way to say it.  It is that simple.  There are eternal moral laws.  There are eternal, unchangeable, unalienable rights based on these laws.  The only proper role of Government is to uphold and protect these unalienable rights.  Thus the written laws of these proper governments are centered around ensuring moral laws are established among men to allow men to exercise their unalienable rights.  In short, our law...

Constitutional Rights: No such thing

Before you get mad and start ranting and raving, listen.  Read this before you make any judgments. (Then you are free to rail on me and call me names and sling mud all you like.  I am also free to delete any comments that I believe are indecent or otherwise inappropriate.) So, how do I start? All the rights that we as individuals enjoy as citizens of this nation are not listed in the constitution.  The rights that are listed are understood to be simply protected by, and not granted by, the Constitution.  Every one of our rights comes from God and the eternal laws that govern the universe.  These rights were in existence before the Constitution was ever conceived.  These rights are unalienable.  Endowed upon us by God.  If you don’t agree with me, read your Declaration of Independence. There are no such things as "Constitutional Rights."

The Constitution does not and, indeed by nature, cannot grant or create a single right. What it can and does do is enumerate some of our most essential rights. Religion and Schools

I do now declare victory over every advocate for the removal of religion from schools.  I have a way in which I could teach “religion” and NO ONE could get me fired without a healthy debate. The Founders intended religion, morality and knowledge to be taught in schools: “Religion, morality, and knowledge being necessary to good government and the happiness of mankind, schools and the means of education shall forever be encouraged.”  -The Northwest Ordinance  Article 3 In keeping with this declaration I can teach religious morals that are universally recognized as characteristics of good law-abiding citizens.  Additionally, in keeping with laws that state schools cannot promote a single religion over others or even religion over non-religion, I can encourage students to be active in their own religions or, if they have no religion, to be active in their own lives.  This applies, as far as I have studied, to ALL sound religion.  An example of an unsound re...

Patriot Chuck Norris

Here's something that fits my way of doing things perfectly: I have recently become aware that Chuck Norris is a columnist.  In his latest column he calls for us to show our patriot side and fly an old version of Old Glory this year.  The 13 star Betsy Ross, or the Gadsden flag ("Don't Tread on Me") are both prime examples of Old Glory as she once was. His reasoning for this is to spread awareness of how our government once was and how the Founders intended it to be.  By flying non-50-star Old Glories we prompt others to ask questions which then allows us to explain that we want to return to the revolutionary Revolution Era ideas that formed this country into one indivisible whole. On top of this I have my own challenge to issue. The Founding Fathers were well read, educated, and civil minded.  I encourage you to develop all three of these traits but I want to focus, for the moment, on the first part: well read.  In order to understand what the constitu...

Intro to Blogging

For those of you who have never blogged before, I want to tell you that you can do it. It may be intimidating at first, but I want you to know that it is possible. Even if you have nothing to write about, there is always something. For example, if you are a first time blogger, like me, you can write about your first blogging experience. This is my very first blog, so I am going to give this a try. I don't know how long I will go in between blogs, but I will try to keep it up to date. Swarm theory?

Well, I know you want an explanation of the name of this blog so I'm going to give it to you. Swarm theory comes from how swarms of animals operate.  It looks at how ants decide who does what, how bees choose a new home, how horse betting is an accurate predictor of a race's outcome, and how birds fly in coordinated flocks. It shows how the collective can be smarter than any individual in that collective.  And, this is my personal opinion, how Wikipedia is really a very good source of information.
