Father of 9/11 Victim Fights to Have 'Murdered by Muslim Terrorists' Inscribed on Son's Memorial - Local News | News Articles | National News | US News - FOXNews.com
The title of this post is a link to a Fox News article. Read through it before you read my synopsis.
I will have to side with the town on this one. Such an inscription would be divisive and misunderstood by anyone who has not studied Islam with an open mind. It would be accurate and yet horrendously false to have the inscription "Muslim Terrorists" on that plaque.
The terrorists were, indeed, professed Muslims, but the one scripture from the Koran that they support their actions with is actually not supportive of their stance. They, and the media, deliberately misunderstand it to mean that Muslims are to wipe out any unbelievers, when in reality Muslims are compassionate people who have respect for Jesus Christ and, when they hear his story, even Joseph Smith. They recognize that other people and faiths receive truths through their own prophets.
The father is more correct than he knows when he says "they refuse to acknowledge that it was their people who did this." Muslim terrorists are on the fringe of Islam and make up a very small minority of Muslims. Muslims refuse to acknowledge that "Muslim Terrorists" did this because they refuse to acknowledge, and rightly so, that the terrorists are Muslim. A sincere look at Islam would tell that these men, terrorists for sure, were not true Muslims.
Let the father insist on an inscription that tells that his son was murdered by terrorists. But also go and do your homework on Islam. There are many wonderful people in that religion.

I have to say I agree with Tyler to some degree, but I don't know. The Muslim world doesn't encourage or discuss the facts that there are terrorists in their religion, but neither do they hunt these people out and put them behind bars, which is kind of like tolerating, fancy language for promoting...I don't know. I'm not God, I can't really judge fairly.
ReplyDeleteI agree with the town on this one too. I agree with and support your explanations about the terrorists being non-Muslims. One big thing I hate is sterotypes. Classifying all Muslims as terrorist or radicals is completely ridiculous.
ReplyDeleteAlso, to isolate the Muslim family in that community is just plain wrong. It's the beginings of the KKK all over again. Let's otricize someone because of their religion. NO! That just doesn't work.
What is this world coming to?
Gani: I get what you're saying, whether or not I agree with all your points.
ReplyDeleteCollin: Remember the minorities with their navels to be kept clean.
Thanks for both commenting.
